Francisco Lafuente has been a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for the past thirty years. He was born in Brady Texas the sixth of child of Fernando and Rosa Lafuente (both deceased). After high school graduation he attended Southwest Texas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Francisco then spent the next thirty years as a high school mathematics teacher. He is currently retired and assisting the school at St. Margaret Mary, as well as duties at the church.

Francisco and Mary Lou were married on August 6, 1977. They have two children. Frank Jr. received his Bachelors degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, in Mechanical Engineering. In May 2007 he received his Masters of Arts Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Houston. He currently works in Houston as an engineer. Their daughter Elena received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management with a Business Administration minor from Texas A&M University, College Station. In August 2007 she received her Masters of Arts Degree in teaching from the University of Incarnate Word. She is currently a kindergarten teacher.

PRESENT PARISH ASSIGNMENT: St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

MINISTRIES PRESENTLY PERFORMED: Francisco serves as the coordinator of the Eucharistic Ministry, Lector, serves the Homebound, Liturgy committee, Hospitality, RCIA Instructor, Funeral Ministry, Marriage Preparation Instructor, and is a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mary Lou serves as the chairman of the Pastoral Council, Eucharistic Ministry, Lector, Hospitality, COPS Metro, marriage preparation instructor, and has been a member of ACTS team. Together and with God’s guidance they continue to serve their community.
