CYO Sports
CYO Sports is a parish based program open to all children and adolescents, regardless of race, religion, national origin, family or economic status. It serves over 13, 000 children and adolescents annually in 60 athletic associations with the help of over 5000 adult volunteers.
 Mission
To offer all youth, sports and recreation programs emphasizing friendly competition through good sportsmanship "modeled" by adult participants. To invite all participants, Catholic and otherwise, youth and adults, to share in the life of their church and faith community.

Last fall, the Archdiocese of San Antonio was invited to submit a plan for a multi-sport & multi-use facility by Bexar County officials. In response to the invitation, the archdiocese put forward a plan to build the Mission Concepcion Athletic and Recreational Complex.
This proposed "state of the art" facility is included in the Youth and Amateur Athletic Facilities Proposal that will be on the ballot for your consideration at the polls on May 10th. This election would allow Bexar County to decide whether or not to extend the Visitor Tax. If the Youth and amateur Athletic Facilities proposal passes, it will provide $16.1 million for the construction of the project, while the Archdiocese of San Antonio is providing the land, valued at $10 million.
If the project is funded, the archdiocese would retain ownership of the land and the sports facility. We will also retain control and management of this potentially wonderful resource for our young people.
There are three other proposals in addition to the Youth and Amateur Athletic Facilities Proposal on the ballot that we think are worthy of your consideration. They include: The San Antonio River Development program, the proposed Performing and Cultural Arts Facilities, and the Community Arenas and Rodeo Grounds Enhancements. Each will appear individually on the ballot.
Early voting continues through April May 6.
