Formation Programs and Workshops
Young Adult Minister (YAM) leadership formation is provided in various parishes as resources and needs arise. Goals encompass training leaders in the vision and practice of
Sons and Daughters of the Light – A Pastoral Plan for Ministry with Young Adults, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ document, empowering leaders and equipping core teams with the knowledge, skills and processes to develop more young adult responsive parishes and providing leaders with models of effective young adult ministry and with strategies that work.

We provide opportunities for ministers and pastoral staff to learn and grow in practices that really work in ministry with young adults.

- Leadership in Ministry with Young Adults – One day workshop based on the second of four courses of the 2004 YAM certification program offered in the archdiocese.
- Generations X –Y: Families of Origin and of Necessity – Workshop for YAs that help improve communication and relationship with family, coworkers and peers.
- Young Adults and Church – “Whatever”? – Workshop for parish staff and interested ministers to gain awareness of working with YAs and facilitating ministry with YAs.
- Adult and Young Adult Faith Formation and Life-long Learning - Workshop offers participants an opportunity to increase awareness of perspectives, challenges, and identification of needs in working in ministry with adults and young adults. Through interactive discussion and exercises, the workshop explores approaches in ministry and programming with adults and young adults in the context of adult life-long learning principles.
